Summer at Indiana Drama Club was packed with performances, celebrations, and community fun—from cheering on members in local productions to leading Arts for Lawrence’s camp. We rehearsed hard for The Sandbox, volunteered at the Indy Strawberry Festival, and celebrated our graduates. Now, we’re ready to shine at IndyFringe’s 20th anniversary!

Our April meeting featured a special guest—Richie Whitehead from Breadcrumb—who shared his journey as a clown and the power of being present on stage. Students enjoyed workshop games, led by Richie, and announcements included upcoming events like Strawberry Festival, ArtsJam, and auditions for The Sandbox. Big things ahead!

At our March meeting, Emily Astroski shared her inspiring journey as an aerial and stilt performer, offering insights into the challenges of freelance work, negotiating contracts, and building a career. She also led a fun, interactive stilt walking session, giving students the chance to try it themselves!

In February, we were thrilled to welcome Disney performer Drew Stafford, who shared his journey from Indiana to the Festival of the Lion King at Animal Kingdom. Drew inspired students with his experiences and Disney “secrets.” Our officers also announced exciting upcoming events, including skating and fundraiser tournaments!
